Dr. Luis Valenciano Participated in the Supervision Session

On Saturday, August 29, the Centro de TFP Aplicada welcomed Dr. Luis Valenciano, a member of the ISTFP Board of Directors, TFP faculty member, and TFP supervisor, for a new clinical supervision session.

During the session, participants worked on a clinical case presented by psychologist Viviana Roel, a participant in the Centro de TFP Aplicada Supervision Program.

The session provided an opportunity to analyze and discuss different aspects of the case within the framework of Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), deepening the understanding of the patient’s clinical functioning, the dynamics emerging throughout the therapeutic process, and possible clinical interventions.

The participation of Dr. Luis Valenciano provided a valuable opportunity for learning and clinical reflection for the professionals in attendance.

The session fostered an active exchange among the supervisor, members of the Center, and program participants, allowing the clinical material to be reviewed rigorously and in close connection with the technical and conceptual principles of the model.

This activity is part of the Centro de TFP Aplicada Supervision Program, which aims to strengthen participants’ clinical competencies through the systematic presentation and discussion of cases, promoting ongoing training and the continued development of a solid practice in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy.
